What I Eat On GLP1
This collection of recipes reflects how I actually eat while using GLP-1 medication. After more than a year of using GLP1 and losing over 45 pounds, I quickly realized that when appetite is low and food fatigue is real, complicated recipes don’t help. You need meals that are easy to prepare, easy to digest, and satisfying in small portions.
What worked for me was that meals had to be built around lean protein and vegetables. Dinner was often just meat and a side of vegetables I could tolerate without discomfort. Nothing complicated, nothing fancy, and honestly, nothing I would have called “a recipe” at the time.
Soups were easier to eat, easier to digest, and a good way to increase protein without forcing large portions. I adjusted them over time to include more protein and fiber, depending on what my body could handle that week.
Because appetite changes with GLP-1, eating is not always predictable. Some days you can eat normally, and other days a few bites are enough. That means meals need to be flexible, small, and practical. Also, leftovers are perfect, as you can grab them when you don't feel like cooking.
This is not a collection of perfect meals, but a collection of realistic ones. If you are on a GLP-1 medication and wondering what to eat without overthinking it, this is a place to start.
